Confidential Mail System (CMS) has been implemented for several years. It has become an important tool for circulating confidential information in the HK Government. However, with the rapid increase of email correspondence in departments, there is a surging demand of archiving these confidential emails securely and efficiently.
During the seminar, Mr Chung Him Chan, Axisoft senior consultant, introduced SQUARE CMS module as the solution to confidential email archival for the Government. SQUARE is a Lotus Domino-based document management system. It has been deployed in a number of Government departments on a departmental scale. SQUARE CMS module meanwhile is an add-on component which can be seamlessly integrated with the Government email system on Lotus Domino. Besides archiving outdated emails automatically, SQUARE CMS module can keep email security and index values intact. With SQUARE CMS, the HK Government has not only achieved efficient use of email resource, but also enhanced the overall performance of email system in terms of usability, stability and security.
During the event, co-organizer Ricoh (HK) also demonstrated the opportunities and benefits of integrating Ricoh products with SQUARE to achieve effective document management.
